Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Gastroenterology Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Richmond, VA Service Setting: Outpatient/Inpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: Jan 5, 2024 - Ongoing Coverage Type: Call Only Call Schedule: Fri(5p) - Mon(7a) - 7 to 10 days period Call Type: In-House Patient Demographics: Adults Procedures/Duties: - Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry, Esophageal Manometry Interpretation, Small Bowel Biopsy, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Liver Biopsy. - Lower GI Endoscopy, Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube, EUS. - Upper GI Endoscopy: with biopsy, w/ foreign body removal, w/ fulguration of bleeder, w/ injection of varices, w/ Banding of varices, w/ ERCP, Diagnostic, Therapeutic, w/ PEG. - On average 8 procedures per weekend: GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colon, Egd, ERCP - Duties: OP Gastroenterology & IM consultations & IP Call Lab and X-ray onsite: Yes EMR: Epic Other Info: - No trauma designation Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: VA License BC/BE Flu Shot COVID Vaccination is preferred
